Weight Stigma and Nuts
We all know benefits of nuts and how healthy snacks nuts make it. But people completely forget the portion size and plunges into roasted packet full nuts.
Few things that helps –
- Serving size- 1 serving of nuts is 1 oz which means a handful of nuts can make up from 160-200 calories/serving. Stick to a serving size of nuts, don’t overdo it.
- Prefer Raw or roasted nuts (From a flavor perspective, roasted nuts are the preferred choice for most people. Roast them on your own by spreading them on a baking tray and placing them in the oven for 10-15 minutes. No need to add salt or oil.)
- Have nuts preferably during snacks time, because they provide satiety.
