WATER WEIGHT

FACT-It’s very easy for people new to low-carbing diet -to lose a significant amount of weight very quickly at the beginning of their carb restriction.

Our body stores the carbs in the form of glucose as a glycogen stores ( majority stored in muscles and liver) and each gram of glycogen is bound to 3-4 hefty grams of water. Now what happens–

When we starve , follow fad diets which tells us to restrain especially carbohydrates, the body begins to break down its carbohydrates stores (glycogen stores) that hold water. We see drastic changes in water weight and There’s no fat loss here because the glycogen and accompanying water’s simply been squeezed out of your muscles and liver. But when eating returns to normal and the body starts to replenish the glycogen stores and water. Therefore body weight return almost immediately as soon as we switch back to normal diet. So think twice before reducing carbs than what body needs!!!
